No. This guy is an asshole, and a fucking idiot to put himself in a position where people depend on him like that when he is clearly in such a reduced state.

dude after 32 hours I doubt a single person is going to complain about carrying his ass 20-30 ft to the left out of harms way.

That's not what I meant. What if he collapses in the middle of the shift? What mistakes might he make because of not thinking clearly?

his shift is over! it was 32 hrs long! Do you mean if he collapsed DURING the 32 hr shift? Yeah, 100% agreed.... it's dangerous that he was allowed to work that long, but during a natural disaster all resources are scarce, including manpower.

So you're telling me that you can go 32 straight hours without getting sufficiently fatigued to put yourself at serious risk of making a physical and/or mental error that would cost the life of someone you're trying to save?

Having just got off a 48 hr shift at 0700 this morning, yes I can confirm this. And there are things in place to prevent guys (and girls) from getting to that point to keep them and others safe.
