I get paid hourly, so I don't give a shit. If they wanna stay there, then let the people behind them get pissed.

I really love talking to customers actually. If you take care of them the store will always be successful. (I do understand the time crunch for cashiers, but stockers, janitors, even management should always make the customer feel important.)

Yea I loved talking with my customers too during the slow times, but at my job I had to take the orders, then make the food, package it, and serve it. Plus run the other side which involved slicing meat and cheese. Nine times out of ten we were short handed with only one or two of us the entire shift, and customers love to complain about waiting in line so unfortunately I had to keep moving with little time left for socializing.
