Or just call the cops. Document with video and sue the hell out of 7-11. Depending on the state, that can actually be construed as kidnapping.

Seeing how this was in Texas, it's possible that they could have gotten away with shooting them.

I know in Texas this could be considered kidnapping, so shooting the person holding them captive could be considered justifiable homicide
