I'm pretty sure they'd bring you back. You still have to finish your sentence, you just wouldnt get more tacked on because of it.

It says "attempt to escape", what about successful escapes?

Well, they would probably be re-imprisoned. They still committed something to get into the prison. They are simply saying that asking them not to at least attempt escaping is too much.

if you escape and get caught.. you gonna need to sit your time in jail as long you would have left if you had not escaped. let's say you need to sit 5 years in prison.. after 1 year you escape..and get caught. then you need to sit another 4 years in prison (but they maybe gonna put you in another cell / more security area of the prison so you don't escape again).

However if you break any laws in attempt those may be held against you, basically the only way you could legally escape would be if all the guards were gone and every single door was unlocked...

El Chapo escaped twice from the Mexican jail system and I don't remember them taking it as a simple desire to be free vacation

He broke the law when he was escaping, escaping itself wasn't illegal but the ways to do so are.
