According to a comment on youtube, mailmen are assigned to a specific zip code and aren't allowed to deliver mail to their own home to prevent theft.

False. Mail carriers are assigned to a certain route. If they happen to live on their own route then so be it. Many mail carriers deliver to their own houses and houses of other mail carriers. It all comes down to if you live within the limits of the Post Office that you work at or not.

I can support this - my mom is a mailman and usually delievers our mail!
