I don't understand why people are so against a wall that blocks of ILLEGAL immigrants. It's just to better control the flow of people coming into America and to ensure that they do so legally. Many other countries have walls surrounding their borders, it's nothing new, but suddenly Trump does it and its racist against hispanics.
Because things cost money, and a physical wall that spans across the US-Mexico border will cost a lot and do nothing to help our debt. It won't even keep a lot of illegal immigrants out, not the ones who simply come over legally and overstay their visa, or hitch a ride on a car or truck, or the ones coming through tunnels, or the many illegal immigrants who don't even come from Mexico, but rather from Canada. There are more important things right now, like making sure people don't die from a lack of healthcare, or making sure people are able to actually get affordable education, or even just improving our infrastructure.
Speaking of half-truths. We were told as an American populace that we would not pay for that wall. Well, guess what. We are now paying for that wall. Also, that wall doesn't stop illegals from getting to the US by boat. It happens all of the time in Florida. I see the wall being half-productive. I also see it causing other issues down the road. Remember the Berlin Wall? It wasn't built to keep out illegals, but it did end up causing issues that ultimately led it to being torn down. Pretty sure that is what will happen to this wall. Also, I've recently found out through some research that we've got a few thousand illegal immigrants in the US that are from Canada. Why haven't we built a border there as well?
Berlin Wall was torn down when Germany was being reunified. Seized Mexican and South American drug cartel money is being used to build a better wall. I don’t care if there’s a wall or not, I’m just tired of the lie that illegals don’t sneak into the country.
I understand that. I dislike illegal issues. I would rather we find a way to keep them out instead of building a wall. That isn't how you stop things. A wall can be breached. I foresee the wall being damaged in numerous locations on multiple occasions. I feel like it will end up causing more issues, instead of making things better.
It won't keep out many immigrants and it's hella costly.. Most come legally and overstay their visa.
