not even in theory does this work, for one thing, what's the furthest you've walked/hiked? guarantee it wouldn't even make it out the atmosphere

I say in theory meaning. It could or if we didn't have physics and laws of gravity and crap. Or stamina.

there is an idea of an elevator that passes the atmosphere then a shuttle to a space ship that is slingshot from an obit around earth to an orbit around the moon
