Did you know that a person can actually die of a broken heart? The things in your heart that keep it from collapsing on its self (so kinda like support beams) can break after a traumatic event, like your loved one leaving you somehow. The heart will then fail and is very hard to fix, and almost always results in death. It happened to my moms dog when she left for college. The dog died of missing her so much.
Despite all the ridiculously romanticized articles floating around, Broken Heart Syndrome is rarely fatal. It's not caused by just heart break, either. Illness, surgery, general bad news, any stress can cause it.
I believe there are similarities for sure. But no different?
