If an adult is with a child, they can watch the movie. The PG-13 rating is to keep unsupervised groups or singular kids from entering the theater.

You don't have to have a parent to go see a pg-13 movie even if you are 12. It's just a guidance. The only movies that require a parent are R... then even with a parent a kid can't get into a NC-17 movie.
