for the longest time, i though these were called "liar" birds, cause the sounds they make is a lie, but found out it's "Lyre" as in the instrument their tails make, both are appropriate though

Appears so. They can make several different noises, including chainsaw noises

They're amazing. They're called Lyrebirds and as long as they hear a noise at least once, they can mimic it almost perfectly. A guy left a phone near a nest if them and called it for a few hours. When he went to retrieve his phone, one of the birds could mimic his ringtone
