Well if we're saying time is infinite, then wouldn't the 'amount' of future always remain the same?

time doesn't appear to be infinite though. Well after the heat death of the universe, space itself will rip itself apart. Time can't exist without space =p

for christians well at least me time is just a concept created by god to make things easier to understand for humans so i guess time wouldnt really exist.

I agree time is just a concept but unless we're saying it has a definitive start and end, then this doesn't apply. I don't know much about all those theories though or what I believe if I'm honest but I guess if time does have a 'start and end' then this makes sense

What if time... was a circle, where there is no start or end. Or what if time was a sphere, or a shape that humans can't comprehend....

Time is infinite. However, there are larger and smaller infinities. For example, if you take all the numbers on the number line, you have an infinite amount. If you take all the even numbers on the number line, you still have an infinite amount, albeit a smaller one. The same goes for time. We still have an infinite amount, but it is a smaller infinity.

I've no idea why that posted here. That wasn't even meant for FS. I was sending it as a text, and it ended up on here. What the hell?

Theoretically, it is a fact.

Wait so, infinity has an 'amount'? I'm just confused as to how you can have a smaller infinity when infinity doesn't have a limit
cactuscake

Well there seems to be two small differences in definitions. One where "infinite" is never ending and one where "infinite" is just something so grand we humans cannot understand. Or maybe I'm just spewing bs but that's the trend I've seen when people use that word.

No infinity definitely only has one meaning, which is endless. The other definition is bullshit

there are infinite numbers from 0 to 1, but in that set you can't go past 1. 0---> infinity is obviously larger than the infinity between 0 and 1.
