I did this a lot as a child. We had a cactus plant in the hallway that looked very soft to me because the spines/sharp things?? idk were fluffy looking, small, and white. So after years of being insanely curious I decided to make a move as my mom turned around to unlock the door and I grabbed that bitch with my entire hand. I screamed. My mom screamed. My next door neighbor screamed. I spent 45 minutes in a hot bath crying. It was worth it. I sacrificed my wellbeing for science. I would do it again.

One day in class the teacher was passing around a piece of silex. I wanted to know if it cut well and how much pressure prehistorical men had to put when they were cutting meat so I naturally tested it on the back of my hand. Surprisingly good result, 10/10 would cut again. I should specify this was the first year of my master's degree.
