Yea, looks cool on social networks, but can't help thinking this was done out of a mix of exactly that and pity, and it will never spark any true romance. Sorry if I'm bursting any bubbles. It was prolly a good day for that kid tho, so that's cool.

A lot of prom dates don’t spark any romance, it’s just fun for the night

Or, in this case, social validation.

I don’t know if this is news to you, but able bodied people can see disabled people as friends!

That's meant to be a date, tho, rather than friend.

Hardly any of my friends were dating, or wanted to date, the people they went to prom with

Exactly the opposite where I'm from, so maybe there's that. Or I'm just not able to see the good in good things anymore. Could be just me, so don't mind me much.

Do you all really think it's that impossible for a disabled person to be romantically involved?

When did I say that?

Not you, walterr. People don’t just do everything out of pity

He should have let her sit in the fancy chair, or at least got some cushions for the wagon.
