Its a remake of The Magnificent Seven and it can be seen as the people rising up against Communism since Grasshoppers take without paying. Under Capitalism you at least get paid for your work and what you produce. Under communism you might get paid (with nothing to buy) but the state just takes the farmers produce, even if it means starving the farmers (see Holodomor, or just any communist country, except present day China which has abandoned it in all but name)
