It was a success! In illustrating why there are so many restrictive rules and why we can't rely on common decency or common sense. As a bonus it's also created a new way to show the world you're a scum bag for those elite scum bags whonwete running g out of ways to demonstrate just how disgusting they can be as a human.

I think it's disgusting to exploit people's kindness like that. As a social experiment, I can kinda get it. That is, if you go to the restaurant later and pay them back, or at the very least order something and leave a huge tip. But if he goes around restaurants doing this, he's a scumbag.
