Even if it fell, it'd most likely survive. at their terminal velocity, cats still have a really high survival rate if their wounds are treated. Apparently one of the highest known drops of a cat without injury was 26 stories. I'm assuming that cat landed in snow or something.

a cats terminal velocity (domestic cat) is around 60 mph... and impact they can easily absorb if they have enough time in free fall to prepare. Ironically, it's more dangerous for a cat to fall from around 7 stories than it is from 13 stories. From 7 they don't hit terminal velocity and tend to tense up. Once they hit free fall they tend to relax and don't buckle when they land. Theoretically, if they found a flat surface to land on and didn't suffocate, you could throw one out of an airplane and it would most likely survive.
