It seems the whole thing began on Reddit and Babe was one of the first "news" sites to report on it. From there Others jumped on. Newsweek claims to have talked to the School district of the Gainesville boy in question and says they deny that he was expelled but due to privacy laws can't give more detail as to why he isn't in school right now. Several local affiliates confirm the basics of the story as well.
According to The school district he wasn't expelled- he isn't in school but they can't say why because of privacy laws. But yes- It can be confirmed that a teenage reddit user with a history of racist and anti Semitic comments and (over the top) pro trump posts made a series of posts with the expressed purpose of getting a fellow student expelled. There is quite a bit of conflicting information though and I advise some skepticism to specific details as well as if this wasn't some sort of odd satire due to some of the other posts. It's possibly he's young and dumb and really is like his (deleted) Reddit implies, or he could be a troll or making some political/social point.
Thanks y'all. We may not always agree on everything but I enjoy the exchange, there's quite a few people on here (present company included) I can always count on to say something wicked funny or razor sharp.
It's partial BS with some unconfirmable as yet details. I researched further as it tripped the BS detector as well. The BS detector goes off whenever news is editorialized to support a certain angle as opposed to delivered as fact.

The Grio is a site that seems to focus their news stories on people of color and other minorities. They have a lot of news about Obama. Their "About Us" page is blank, and their website has no visible copyright info.
The story on The Grio links to a story on The Tab US, which is just as sketchy of a "news" source. The story on The Tab doesn't link to any other sources.

I haven't looked elsewhere for the story, I just don't trust these sources.
