Did their parents teach them anything
When someone says nice things to you, be fucking polite and say thank you
Or do we have to go this way
Person *sneezes*
Me: bless you
Person: I'm an atheist
Me: well, have flu and die then :>
I’m not religious but when people say they’re praying for me I say thank you. Why? Because Aunt Mary is a retired secretary, not a doctor. I don’t want her giving me medical advice and I appreciate the prayers since it’s all she can do when she lives 10+ hours away
I *am* religious, and when someone says "I'll have a good thought for you" or wishes me happy holidays at Christmas, I'm thankful that someone is hoping good things for me and also feels comfortable letting me know.
