Flashback, flashback!
My mom also had to be isolated because of cancer radiation, but she couldn't even stay home, it was in a hospital and the walls were covered in lead. I think I already told that story here, but every day when I got out of class I got on the sidewalk in front of the hospital, and waved in the direction of her room. The window was also covered in lead except for 10cm at the top, so the only thing I saw of her while wondering if she'd ever come back home was her hand waving back.
I sincerely hope none of you will have to be this husband or me back then.
