"Good" has an older meaning meaning "holy" or "sacred", as in "God created the dry land, and saw that it was good".

Yeah in spanish it is Viernes santo, so like saint/ holy or mkre like sacred since the tradition was to do nothing that day like not playing music, don't eat meat. Many years ago though. All the catholic traditions in America that peopke think are odd, many Catholics from astound the world also think are odd. Like, I was raised Catholic in latin america. "Good Friday" was very somber. And sunday ("easter") was just church and waiting fish. Not parties, and drunkenly not bunny and eggs. I have no idea why there's a bunny in all of this (Btw, look in YouTube fir jim gaffigan old joke on easter and chistmas. "Don't worry there's a bunny" lol)
