I have a laundry day only pair of pajamas I wear just so I can wash my normal pair. I try to get as much clean as I can.

Same here. The clothes are never done because there's the clothes you had on yesterday, the rogue sock that escapes under the bed and so on.

It bothers me too and it's the same for ironing.

As the first load is done, you can put that on and then take the clothes you have on off, then add that to the 3rd load (it takes me 4-5 loads to wash EVERYTHING I have)... but I've only done that once. Usually for one week of clothes I need 3 loads.
