It's actually pretty smart marketing-wise. An otherwise unmemorable shirt now has a hook to it. Those who look at the tag will read it, have a laugh and associate positive feelings with the shirt and brand. Granted, that joke will only work well in places that have a low opinion of the president but it's France so hardly any risk of a backlash.
not saying I actually like Trump, but technically we DID vote for him...or is that not how a Republic works? I know there's a lot of debate on the electoral college and such and so forth but...people voted and he won. so saying "we did not vote for him" makes him sound like a dictator. and bad president or not, by definition he was VOTED into office. making this joke (though funny, I laughed) pointless
