Lol. You can carry a lot of swords, you just won’t be able to do much. The same for many shooters. Put 1000 rounds of 9mm and a side arm in a duffel bag and try to run, jump, or even hike very far.
The bag was just a note from personal experience on how video games treat ammo. On swords- an average reasonably made sword tends to weigh between 2.5-5lbs and some larger ones weighing more. So I personally could carry around 100-170~ swords if they were on the lighter side. The number you need to set your theoretical threshold would be a maximum squat weight. Since you can tape or otherwise afix scabbards and the like, the limiting factor is how much weight your legs and core can hold up before you crumple. That is assuming we mean carry and not hold- a requirement you at least be able to take one step while loaded. Otherwise if you lock your knees and mount your swords low you could carry much more if you don’t have to move at all.
I said carry... well actually i mean mor like equip or something... basically i mean how man can you attach tou yourself (no matter how impractical it is to attach that many blades to yourself) and still move around and do stuff, like to what degree (no matter how impractical) can you video game equip yourself before you can't logically attach more weapons to yourself that you most likely can't use. Like it's not about carry weight just how much of it you can move with you before it becomes improbable, impractical or impossible
Carry weight will give you the idea. Impractical will be either at the point that the weight prevents your muscles (support muscles responsible for dexterity and most movement will be first) or at the point where the physical bulk of the swords prevents movement. To be able to be functional you won’t be able to hold more than one, and arguably mustn’t hold any. Likewise unless you have VERY long arms you can’t attach to your arms. Between 1-4 swords on the hips will hamper sitting, climbing, and torso movements. The back is one of the least obtrusive places to put a sword but does make them harder to draw. If we are using the back as the place which will least impact activity, it now becomes carry weight as consideration #1, and being able to fit though doors or in tight spaces as #2. Total practical amount of full sized swords to carry is likely 1-4 but arguably 5-6. This would give similar encumbrance to what a modern soldier has with their gear at less weight.
Armed with two, two on back and two with scabbards on either side of you waist.
