Hens are great moms

my chickens were a mom to me too skdhsjs when i was sad they used to snuggle up and cuddle :((

My sister keeps chickens and once there were two chicks that the other chickens pecked on too much so she kept them in a room in the house where her cats couldn't get to them. A few days after she'd brought them there, her husband forgot to close the doors after feeding the chickens, and one of their cats got in. Instead of killing them she took them to her litter and begun to raise them as her own. It was absolutely adorable
