Well it's not only because of iron my dude, before the release of eggs females experience a sudden spike in progesterone, when the period begins that amount fluctuates which affects ones mood, energy and your boobs might stars hurting. Since its a hormone. You can help your body when getting rid of it by excercising and sleeping a lot, eating healthy food is a given. When it comes to lack of iron you'll often find females faint or feel super tired all the time but it's not pms exactly. I mean anyone can lack iron, it's just more common for girls because of periods and stuff.

That's wrong on sooo many levels. First of all it's not just an iron deficiency that makes her "angry at everyone and everything", as @cactuscake pointed out, it's also a hormone thing. I might add, there's potentially a lot of physical pain, especially in the first years, which doesn't exactly create a lot of happiness. Then iron needs to be taken on a regular base to effectively raise the iron level in your blood. If there's anything that can raise the level comparably fast and way more efficient: try steak, lots of it, and as bloody as bearable. The iron in blood is 5-.10 times easier absorbable than the form found in plants. I'm with the guest: that proposal might cause physical pain, for the one making it. I'm pretty sure a lot of the anger seen with menstruating women is caused by idiots mansplaining how women don't have to be "angry at everyone and everything" by simply eating right when it's that time of the month.
I also recommend blood pudding and other things like that. It contains a lot of iron and uses the blood from the animal that would have been thrown away. Actually, speaking of foods lemme puke out some info real quick. Dark chocolate actually stabilizes progesterone so go with that and avoid super sugary and salty foods. The salt will make your body fluids go haywire. Avoid caffeine as it makes the symptoms like boob hurt worse when pms-ing. Something I learned recently is that avocado is really good, it contains potassium that helps the body get rid of excess fluids. It also has a bunch of healthy fats so that's cool.
man, they're so fucking dumb
are you for real thinking you can calm a goddess, me, who is in great pain cause mother nature thinks it's funny to make me sacrifice blood to Satan every month by giving rabbit food
i'd bite your neck off
and no, i'm not being overdramatic
Spinach isn’t as high in iron as people think it is. It was a mistranslated reprint of an unchecked fact that led to the myth. Brussels sprouts have more iron than spinach by far, and broccoli isn’t far behind. Oh- and regardless of the iron content of spinach that iron has low bio availability. What that means is that compared to red meat (which also tend to have WAY more iron per serving) in which you digest about 15-30% of the iron present; with spinach your body will only actually be able to use about 2-3% of the iron in the plant. Also don’t forget that too much iron can be toxic. Other people have done well enough pointing out the pseudo science in the rest of the statement so I’ll leave that alone.

"Brussels sprouts have more iron than spinach by far" - Nope, I don't know where you got that from, but all sources I have looked at state 1,1 mg iron /100 gram for Brussels Sprouts and between 2,9 and 4,1 mg/100 gr for spinach. It has much less iron than is generally thought (afaik caused by a wrong comma placement, nearly a 100 years ago), but still a lot more than most other vegetables. You are right though about the availability, spinach even contains a stuff that prevents iron from being taken into the system,.
Sorry. I should have better delineated that I wasn’t referring to iron content but available iron. But yes. And younger spinach tends to have less of the acids that bind to the iron and help make it non Heme. Certain preparation tricks can also be used on veggies to help make more iron available. My bad on the comma. I remembered it was something silly but I must have gotten mixed up. The point still stands though that spinach isn’t quite as much of an iron power house as people think, and while high in over all iron for a vegetable it is not rightly considered a “high iron food.”
