I get why an adult would buy it but the mom thought it was an actual McDonald's t shirt not a spoof.

When I read the story, it was in a bag of clothes from a friend or something. The kid pulled it out, put it on, and strolled out for school without more than a glance from his mama. I could see how that could happen. I just don't understand why that shirt was ever sold in a child's size to begin with.
