I can’t top @xvarnah’s awesome reply- but I’d like to point out that funsubstance isn’t exactly a place people go to learn how to repair satellites, get an online degree, or cultivate their small business. Someone has to take the time to make and find the content that we all are here for- here also using time that could be spent on other things I might add. So at the least it’s a bit hypocritical- but realistically beyond the simple fact some people do things just to enjoy them, and this is a place people go to share things they think others might enjoy, is the fact that people like Paris Hilton or the Kardashians or any number of tv stars, celebrities, and inventors of apps and dodads have taken “who gives an F” and turned it into massive followings and huge pay days. It only takes one moment to gain the attention that can launch a brief or lasting career. Either way they made something neat. It’s not a cure for cancer but neither is Minecraft and people seem to care about that.
