People hate this movie? Why though?
I mean, just because it didn't have some princess singing about her identity crises over an issue she could have solved just by talking it out, doesn't mean it's a bad movie.
It has a coherent plot, with actual stakes, teaches some pretty decent life lessons about family, responsibility, acceptance, and, especially, the consequences of our actions (<- this must be why people don't like it), not to mention plenty of entertaining moments, beautiful animation, and good music
I forgot there even was a sequel so I was curious wth version of brother bear you'd watched <.<
Disney's already had us trying to work out the logistics/moral dilemmas between Belle and the Beast, a candelabra and a feather duster, a prince and a half-fish lady, that same prince and a giant squid-lady, an underaged boy and a squirrel, two frog people, a man and gorillas (it didn't HAPPEN, but we all know people were thinking about it), centaurs (which just raise questions all on their own), an entirely plastic spaceman and an entirely fabric cowgirl...
I don't see why, after all that (and more), brother bear would be the one they chose to have issue with
