While this was incredible. The boys weren’t leaving for a few more days. He literally could’ve kept some for himself. Survived and brought back more later. So I don’t get it. But I respect the sacrifice and bravery cuz I wouldn’t be doing that shit I’m a bitch and I hope he rests in eternal happiness
Perhaps they should have brought more oxygen, I mean logistically what’s the difference between 13 and 14 cannisters. While you can acknowledge that he did a dangerous job, I don’t think you can call him a hero just because he died from someone else negligence.
Wtf I don’t think you realize that there was 12 children trapped in the cave and they were running out of oxygen. If you’ve seen diagrams of the cave and how difficult and dangerous it is to navigate even for professional cave divers you’d shut your mouth. A diver said on the news that divers specifically avoid this cave because it’s “the mt everest of cave diving.”
He's not considered a hero because he died, he's considered a hero because he put his own life at risk for a very dangerous rescue mission. He was a hero for his bravery and selflessness. He went into it knowing the possible dangers. Unfortunately he paid the price, but he did something great in return. The rescuers that survived are also heroes and should absolutely be praised for what they've done regardless of whatever didn't go exactly as planned.
Logistically there is a lot of difference between 13 and 14 canisters. The added weight and bulk might not be that big a difference in a 5 minute walk but in a stressful situation lasting a very long time the difference is very large and most likely works something along the lines of =x^(1/3) =<y
