4:20? 600 minutes is 10... 300 minutes is 5... 60 minutes is 1... so that's 16... and 12 minutes left...

Then stop asking how old, if it doesn't really matter to you either way. Parents have to give the age of the child in week/months to the doctors and it becomes second nature to respond that way. I doubt any parent living in the whirlwind of shit, vomit and no sleep gives a fuck about converting for you. So get over yourselves, enjoy your rest and with that extra energy you waste complaining do your own conversion.

I do not use weeks when explaining how old my kid is. I use x months and x weeks old. Such as, my daughter is 5 months and 3 weeks old. I've no problems saying that to people because I know it is confusing. And the conversion does not always work properly. 5 weeks old equates to 35 days. 35 days is a month and 5 or 4 days old. So to tell people to convert on the spot is not easy. To each, their own. I prefer to say the x month and x weeks, because I know converting is not so easy all of the time.

Just because you don't know enough about the development of an infant to know the differences of one in the scale of weeks doesn't mean it's appropriate to disparage people who understand measure it as such.
