Some. Mostly “exotics” and the like. This is a Saturn (now defunct GM sub brand.) they were neat cars. One of their big early selling points were the plastic body panels like doors and fenders. It was not only lighter, but the idea that was used in marketing was that if you got a “parking lot ding” like a shopping cart rolled in to your car, unlike metal which would be dented, the plastic panel would absorb light impacts and simply “bounce back” with only at worst the paint being scuffed a bit of anything. It actually worked pretty well too, and the fact they shatter in accidents helped absorb force from more serious collisions. Saturns has neat odd things to save cost and weight, like only the passenger side on some had power mirrors or windows- since it’s easy for the driver to reach their side and only a pain to reach over to the other side. Some only had power windows in the back. Stuff like that. Neat idea. Also- originally “no haggle.” You just paid what the sticker said.
