Why do people yell at workers who are just trying to do their job? Do they expect special treatment? Do they think yelling is going to make the item that is out of stock magically appear?
If there's one thing I'd make mandatory, it's working in some sort of service job. Fast food or retail. I mean, make part of school curriculum or something. Something that allows people to feel what it's like from the other side.
What I meant was that most kids know not to treat the employees like shit, at least in my experience. When I worked in retail, not once did I have someone around my age or younger behave rudely. If anything, they were some of the nicest people I spoke to.
