Have you ever drank a warm coke and a cold pepsi together? They taste very similar because they were created to be the same drink essentially. Pepsi was made to be drank cold while Coke was to be drank while warm. This is even more obvious in the older generations of the drinks supposedly.

That is nothing but a hoak spread from Reddit. From the time it was sold as a "fountain drink" in its current incarnation it's been promoted as drinking it cold. Before that it was sold as a curative "coca wine" or cocaine wine, back in the 1800s, but that that was before it was even the official Coca-Cola Company it currently is today.

I can't find anything about Coca Wine and Coke being the same. I'll admit that I just like telling that story to anyone who listens, but I can't find any connection between alcohol mixed with cocaine and Coco-Cola.
