It’s more complex than that. In fact one could say it’s the opposite, that our mind rejects it because it is unrealistic. This is why even some great CGI falls flat compared to practical effects. Details. When we are on the “real” world and we move our perspective, we experience a “blur” of sorts as our eyes focus from one thing to the next. When a camera pans at high frame rate, there is no such blur. Our brains are used to little visual cues, as well as other sensory feed back, that we get in the “real” world. In absence of those cues but when presented with other stimulus that are familiar, our brains are being constantly reminded that something isn’t right. You probably wouldn’t be very weirded out if You had a coworker with the same hair and eye color who dressed like your mom, but if you had a coworker who looked exactly like your mom except she had a voice like Sam Jackson and walked without her legs moving as she did, you’d think you were hallucinating.
