Depends on the Situation and person. If you already know that a person have done shitty stuff before you even meet her, the respect you have for such a person is Lower than if you know that the person didn't do shitty stuff. Negative example = logan paul from yt. I don't have any respect for him without even meeting him in reallife. Karma.

Depends how you define respect. I respect everyone as a human being automatically but I don’t respect someone as knowledgeable or an authority until they have earned it
