Yes. And when your landlord wins the lottery it means nothing for you, but if he goes bankrupt and sells the property it means you’ll likely lose your home or get a raise in rent. What’s even more baffling is that this is like not playing the lottery and then getting upset someone else won. You can’t afford stocks? Someone can’t afford lottery tickets and someone else can’t afford to eat. It’s all relative. Marie Currie discovered radium and pioneered research that led to many modern technologies enjoyed by billions, and she died because of it. So she did the work and died, you benefited. Would you trade your life for a big day at the market? So I suppose sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. The people in the market loose too you see. They fire you because they just lost millions or billions of dollars, and lose what- $30-120k salary? They took a risk. If you worked for yourself you’d take the same risk every day. So while the system is broken- not in the way this guy thinks.
