Pineapple is an acceptable pizza topping and you know it. The only non acceptable pizza topping is banana.

I feel like peas can also safely be added to that list, but they get mushy and pop. Just seems like it'd be unpleasant all around

Modern pizza is Americanized. Traditional italian pizza is boring and sucks

I mean... I went to nappoli a few months ago. Can't say the pizza sucked. Not saying you can't americanize it and modernize it, but that doesnt make the classics bad.
