I thought I was a freak until I got the internet and realized actually a ton of people do this. Like I have imaginary friends that often pop in these daydreams (some of which I've known for more than a decade) and some others who just come for a oneshot and disappear forever. Sometimes they die and I mourn them until I snap out of it. I don't know to which extent that's a healthy behavior though.

You are not alone, I too daydream of certain imaginary friends and of which I am either the hero or the villain. In most cases this is scene as healthy and normal.

I've heard of several theories speculating that since our brains are indeed generating their own quantum field, we could theoretically access the mind of our selves in different parallel universes. Daydreaming could just be us viewing our other selves and their outcomes. Or we're just all fucked in the head.

Do your hate and rage look physically like you ? I'm curious. One of my imaginary friends helps me be reasonable and calm down when I'm upset but I don't have these personifications.

Not really just anger and rage standing there poised for a fight.

I’m glad I’m not alone in self-sabotaging my emotions
