For the most part it depends on how intrusive the ad is. If you're gonna force me to watch your 2 minute ad or make me think there's a skip button then syke, or things like that it'll make me intentionally avoid your product at all cost.
That's true, but my facebook ads are on point.
"Harry potter shit for 50% off"
"Heres a list of books we know you'll like"
"Random ass shiny thing that matches the aesthetic of my room"
"Horror movie tickets for sale"
Everytime I log in I want to click those ads.
At the end of the day, though, I don't mind the youtube ads that much. They're what make it possible for a lot of youtubers to produce the content they do, and for me to watch the videos for free.
What I hate are ads on the TV or on phone apps that come on and the volume is 5000 levels higher than any person would ever expose their ears to, or that have an x with an obnoxiously small radius that you try to click and instead it opens the webpage for whatever product the ad was for 15 times. Those ads pretty much guarantee I will never buy anything from those companies for the rest of my natural life
