This is literally the relationship between my dog and cat. She (pitbull who thinks she's a Pomeranian) just wants to play and give the kitty kisses. He (15 year old Siamese who isn't 8 pounds soaking wet) will actively attack her to the point we have to remove his claws that have broken off in her skin. It's been almost 2 years and she still won't fight back, lucky for him. We have to keep him isolated to a separate part of the apartment, for her sake.

Literally not 10 minutes after I wrote this last night my asshole cat got out and went after my pit. She tried turning her back so he wouldn't get her face and he dug his claws into her rump and held her down until caught him. I swear if he wasn't so old his butt would be in SO MUCH DAMN trouble

She flies in the face of the aggressive vicious pitbull stereotype. Though, as bad as it may sound, I do wish she would give him just one good smack or even a nip. He's always such a bully to her, and every other big dog. Ironically, put him in front of a bird or a kitten and he runs terrified and hides. No joke. We had a dove for 23 years who would intentionally coo when he entered the room over the last year of her life (oddly enough around the time we got Tallulah the not so fierce pitty) and he would bolt and hide. He had a VERY healthy respect for her since she was much older than him. As for kittens, I think its actually the fact that kittens means mama cats and the only Mama's he's known redefined the term bitch to him. Still, its hilarious to watch his reaction when he hears a kitten on TV.

Every dog I ever had LOVED kittens but was scared or hat d adult cats lol. My dog Mia we have when our cats were kittens all we had to say was where are the babies? And she run all over the house till she found them and licked them head to toe. But once they could walk she was never mind.

Tallulah has never gotten to meet kittens, sadly. The only cats she's been around is the asshole and my black cat who died earlier this year who was afraid of EVERYTHING other than me. She just wants a furry playmate.
