because different municipalities have different guidelines for water quality assurance. i know some may put more fluoride than others (which are making the friggin frogs gay) and some may not as long as its within the national health guidelines. also depends what the source is!

It also strongly depends on the water source. I live in Texas but I fly up to Minnesota a lot and I'll be honest, tap water in Minnesota tastes like bottled water to me.

Pure water has no taste. However the water we drink isn't pure. The various minerals, chemicals, and other additives contribute to the taste.

My water at home (deep ground well) tastes far better than the town water at my job or the water at the town nearest to my home, don't get me started on the water in the two nearest cities which tastes like garbage can drippings and rust, respectively.

Water taste depends on the gasses dissolved in it. Read book you pieces of shit
