I had once a version of pokemon silver where you could catch all pokemon up until that version. It was horrible so many pokemon at diffrent locations, even daytimes and so few pokeballs and storagespace.
That sounds like a poorly thought out mod on the creator's part. I was thinking more mods like Ash Gray, which let you follow the anime storyline, Shiny Gold, which combines a few generations of the game and introduces a few unique locations and storyline, Uranium(<- I think that's it's name) that takes a bit of a dark twist at the pokemon series. Admittedly, a lot of the mods don't get finished, but what they manage to do in the time they did work on them is still pretty good
dont get me wrong. it was good but if you wanted every pokemon type of an area you had to use a fine comb and that was sometimes frustrating. With the generalstorage space i m not so sure anymore if it was 25 pages or more but after 60+ pokemon it gets difficult to train them all. a minor problem was the money to buy pokeballs. at the end i had allways 2 Linoone in my deck to pick up items to sell.
Oh yeah, they usually have some decent elements, and the fact people can make these mods at all is impressive. But if you're going to include an additional 200+ pokemon in a game, you either have to be extremely restrictive on the areas/times any of them can spawn (which can be frustrating in itself), or you have to add more spawn areas. Like in Shiny Gold (accidentally referred to it as heart gold in the last comment) it was a hack of pokemon gold, and by the Time he started introducing gen 3 pokemon, he'd created a completely seperate new area to go to. Sadly the hack ends shortly after since it's unfinished.
The storage part should have been a no-brainer addition also
Let’s Go Eevee! and Let’s Go Pikachu! will have multiple save files (thanks to the way that Switch profiles work, meaning that the 2019 game will too), Pokémon followers and thanks to cross compatibility with Pokémon Go, you can catch them all. But it’s only Gen 1. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

pokemon lets go pikachu/eevee are spin offs not part of the main series so any features in these games might not be carried over when we get the real games
I’m not 100% sure on what they’ll be, because I’ve heard that they are main series and canon, but I’ve also seen many people saying they aren’t. The multiple saves will be in Gen 8 though. That is a Switch profile thing, not a game thing fortunately.
