Colin could protest literally anywhere else.
He has the money, the fans, the publicity. He could do it, but does he? No. He puts his politics where everyone can see him, where he doesn't have to pay, where he knows good and damn well he'll get hit with press releases and news stories and people says "omfg he soooo fucking brave" when he's really fucking not.
He doesn't go to any protests, no speeches, none of it. At this point, I don't care about his politics or what he believes, I care that he decides to be sensationalist and gaslight the entire country during what is supposed to be one the more apolitical times, and has made it an oppression party.
But isn’t the point of protests to get attention to your cause?

But my point is that he has the resources to help his cause and take it somewhere else. If he started at the National Anthem and then moved to the streets, the city halls, and up the political system, he would be respectable, but he doesn't do anything. Just sits there and takes it nowhere.
@serosenpai I'm starting to wonder if you actually enjoy being wrong all the time.

My God, do you ever leave me alone? You don't debate me, you're not funny, and you just point at my arguments and laugh and then I get downvoted by whom the fuck ever. I'm sick of this over and over shit because I feel as if I can't say what I want without you appearing. You don't do this with anyone else, so why fucking me?
Sinking to the "you took too long to respond" level? Classy.

I dont need my safe space, and you usually respond to me quickly.
I just need you to stop responding to me if you arent going to start a conversation. You just start the fire and downvote me everytime I respond, god forbid.
Like tbh its disrespectful fam. Like i get it bruh you doing a protest but coming from a dude making millions of dollars playing a sport idk why you gotta disrespect the country like that and the veterans too fam. Like veterans hella hate that shiz.
I always ask: what is a respectful way to protest? The point of a protest is to disrupt something in order to draw attention to a cause, hence him doing it at his job where millions of people would be watching
Im just saying maybe not doing it to the anthem cause the vietnam veteran i do work for was very offended by it. A lot of vets are super into the anthem and flag maybe do a regular protest or something but they find the anthem very important to them.
Listen i dont really care about this personally that much. Colin Kapernick is crying about inequality despite making millions of dollars so he is gonna take a knee during the anthem whatever. The guy i work for was drafted into the Vietnam war and forced to serve actually did as a pilot and got the distinguished flying cross pretty cool and he said that even though he was drafted into a war that he hated and hardly can talk about he still has respect for the country and the anthem and the meaning they have. That stuck with me a guy who literally had his country put him in a situation where life was hell still respects everything it stands for yet the guy getting paid millions by it to play a sport seems to think it sucks. Many football players figured it out they linked arms and showed they were together and gave the protest a good meaning without actually disrespecting stuff its not hard.
Like just saying fam he told me some wack stories where on the main airway and shiz it would be calm and they would be chilling and bam missile come over the top blow up randomly on the runway. Sometimes it hit entire planes blew up the whole crew and it just happened nothing you could do about it. Told me people always dying ambushes common and they didnt care bout death long as they took a couple of you with them. Man he told me it was terrible and he just said i dont care what kapernick feels you dont disrespect our anthem and country like that and bruh i respect that man more than anything for that and i respect him and my veterans enough not to kneel for it and try to disrespect it.
Instead of kneeling during the anthem, kaepernick could have done a walk out or a sit down protest and refused to play or him and supportive teammates could have worn something over their uniforms
Refusing to play is like refusing to compete on Xbox live because you disagree with something the TV company you bought from did/is doing.
His problem wasn't to do with the NLF is was about the mistreatment of Black people in America.
Having something on their uniform/helmet would also be rather logical in the case they made extremely sure that it actually addressed in a way that everyone watching knew and understood what was happening.
They way they did it guaranteed it would be seen, understood, and discussed which furthered the cause that the protest was for in the first place.
He used the extremely public and well paid attention to forum of NFL broadcasts to protest the one tiny part that represented the society he held disagreement with
Yeah we know what he did thats not the point im saying other teams did it in a better way like idk the way that they linked arms on most other teams. Like you telling me that he used the nfl as a jump pad to push his political belief is also a problem in my opinion. Everyone i know including me uses sports to get away from politics and the fact that he is bringing politics in sports also is problematic for me.
Politics have been a part of sports since sports have been sports. He's not doing anything new just doing it in a new way that everyone is giving him shit for.
politics have been in sports in the past but it doesnt mean i want even more now. I can watch the nba without thinking about politics and i used to do the same with football.

No response.

I see no more logical option for such a purpose
