It's impressive, but some part of me always wonders where the heck people come up with these ideas, and what Line of thinking manages to convince them to give it a go.

I'm kinda appreciating the art but no I lied I can't get over the fact that they ruined books.

The books are usually already beyond repair/unreadable when they start, at least with most of these kind if artists I've read about.
