My Mom's twin brother lol loves to carry a big hunting rifle on a gun rack in his truck for when guys with ultra high beams try to blind him. Lmao (Yeah he is one my redneck relatives)
If he gets flashed he turns around and follows the car. Than he flashes his lights to show hay pull over I need to talk to you. When they slow down he pulls out the gun and rest it on his car window pointed at their car than says "Um I don't want to have to shoot out all your high beams so could you please remember to not flash people with them." They always promise to never do it again.
My Dad was a cop during when my Uncle Had first started doing this. One night my Dad said a bunch of teenagers came in saying some crazy redneck threaten to kill them over their lights on their car. They said he had a automatic. My Dad who KNEW the guys were lying motion them to lean close and whispered. "Well next time turn off your high beams." Roflmmfao
Was in a car driving on a long stretch of road home one night. I wasn't the driver, the car was a rental, the road was pretty much completely empty, and we were in an area where a LOT of deer like to jump onto the road and play chicken, along with the occasional cow. It was decently late at night, and not exactly a clear night either, though not super foggy or anything.
We weren't following anyone, there was literally maybe two vehicles that passed us on the opposite side of the road going the other way in the last hour and a half, and none on our side. But Apparently the high beams of the rental car were on. This was 100% unintentional, and given the circumstances not entirely unreasonable.
One of the trucks that went the other way didn't agree with this. He pulled a uturn. He got in the lane behind us. He pulled up so close he almost rear-ended us. And then he turned on his high beams.
The entire car was nothing but white light. He followed us like that for nearly 7 minutes. The driver in my vehicle had already turned down the high beams as soon as she realized they were on (right around the time he started to pull up behind us. Again, it was a rental and neither of us were super familiar with it). She leaned on the horn but the guy in the truck wouldn't go away. She was terrified to slow down because he would literally smash into us. There was no way for him to see properly and we couldn't see at all.
By the time he pulled away the coward turned back and drove away to make certain we couldn't get his lisence plate. We had to pull over on a dark abandoned highway in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere because the driver couldn't stop shaking and crying
