Despite having never commited a crime, still spend the next several minutes frantically wracking your brain in case you accidentally robbed a liquor store or shot someone at some point
the amount of pointless stuff I've purchased in stores just so that I don't leave without anything and look like a criminal is to high

I always feel guilty if i leave a store without buying something.. I always think that every second the shop detective grabs me and call the police lol (jk but ot feels just rly bad.. Don't know why)
I usually can leave without buying something, but it's always still kind of like "okay, just be normal. BE normal. You didn't do anything wrong. Get to the door and get out. But don't rush, or you'll look guilty. Fuck they're gonna think I'm guilty."
I'm always fine once I get out of the store, but those few seconds heading for the door the anxiety is real and entirely unnecessary <_<

I dont personally have this problem... then again, I dont usually break the law.
A sign of a failing society is when the protectors fill innocents with fear

Honestly I feel safer with a larger police presence/state trooper presence--especially on highways... too many people out there who drive like absolute monsters...
