Kid loved the card so much

I once heard that when Banksy was still a struggling artist, he fell behind on his rent and his landlord evicted him (can’t immediately find an article to fact check this). Banksy didn’t have time to pack and left behind an apartment full of art. The landlord thought it was just ‘graffiti junk’ so he threw it all away. He would’ve had a fortune today. I don’t know how much a Sendak work is worth today but, boy, I hope what might’ve been a chunk of that kid’s college tuition tasted delicious.
