That is disturbingly accurate and it explains a lot of things about my life.

My whole life I’ve been obsessed with normal looking bedrooms

I realized this too late and dropped out only after I already owed a couple Grand to the school.
If you're looking at college majors and can't choose without just having to settle, you probably shouldn't go to college.
My expected dreams through life just because more and more realistic as I got older
5- I wanna be a dog
7- I wanna be an artist
9- I wanna be a vet
11- I wanna go to the air force academy and become a detective
13- I wanna be a cop
15- I wanna be a teacher
Now- welp i guess I’ll do hospitality/business
Was the air force part after watching Top Gun or a roller coaster thing? That happened to me... and then I actually noticed the air force is filled with a bunch of religious wack jobs outside the ones who make it to NASA. They never tell you becoming an astronaut literally involves a trial through fire and brimstone.
No there was in my school whose dad was stationed in iraq and he came in and talked to us. I do love top gun though. I still wanna join the military I’m gonna try to do ROTC but I’m not going to major in engineering so I’ll most likely end up doing army.
@famousone why (I’m just curious because I’ve been doing alotta research so it’s always great to hear others opinions)
Right now it really just depends on where I can get a scholarship
I'm not a recruiter, so I won't lie to you.
The Army is the oldest and biggest branch of the U.S. Military. Depending on your MOS, promotion is fast, training is effective and thorough, and the soldiers in your company will become like family.
Basic sucks, and I hear some deployments are fucking terrible, but there's also a very good chance to travel the world and live in the kinds of places most civilians will spend their entire lives dreaming of visiting.
If you allow it, you would be transformed into an exceptional professional at arms, qualified and highly trained in whatever job you pick, with housing, food, and more benefits than you will be able to keep track of.
It would require discipline, though, and a drive to make the best out of every day, as well as steady dedication to being someone worthy of serving this great nation.
We are certainly more disciplined than the Navy and Air Force (they have easier training and looser standards though), and unlike any of the other
Branches you will get to pick your job (granted your ASVAB score is high enough).
I know it was a vague answer, but I will gladly answer any questions you or anyone else has about the Army
@famousone I know we rarely agree.... but I'm with you on about 95% of all that.... and my only 5% dispute is about wondering if our nation really is "great".
Anyway.... an Army Corps engineer is, without question, going to be the most steady job on the planet for the next 50 years.... it overtook accountant for the police department.
Thanks for all the info! Since I am still in hs and I really don’t have all that many people actually in the military around me I can ask so I find what I can online.
What my plan is right now is to apple for ROTC scholarships to all 3 branches that have ROTC scholarships and see what types of scholarships I can get. if I can’t get any scholarships than I will Choose a branch. The only problem is I’m awful at making decisions so getting first hand info is great. Yea if any questions I’ll ask you
@ me or bump this thread, I have friends in all the branches I can ask if you have any questions about them. I believe the Army is best, but it sure ain't for everyone.
