who said anything about easily accessible? just set up a bot on a computer (or for the poorer hitman go to someplace with public access computers) and watch for people that are talking about a vacation soon who also are likely to own firearms and if you get a good local mark you case the house and eventually at night break in from the back and search the house to your hearts content. Safes are only as safe as the thief is bad at stealing.
