A few lbs. of tannarrite would have been much safer--and maybe even cheaper than hiring the guy to demo it.

Depending on where they are minimizing the spread of the damage could be required (even just a few pounds of tannerite could potentially throw something hard enough to do damage a good distance away)

It's the simplest (legal to make) explosive of its functionality. Just go and mix that shit up with a plastic barrel and a hand held blender and BAM you've got yourself some tannerite
